Why Anigma?

We love talking to our visitors!

An hour of escaping goes by very quickly, and sometimes it’s hard to remember what just happened. Especially if the team has split up in the room. At Anigma we always try to make time to reflect and go through the room afterwards in our cozy lobby (or inside the room, if that is preferred). The gamemaster can give some feedback on what went well, went really well or what could have gone better. And players can share their thoughts and ask questions about the puzzles.

Although the artwork for our story might seem dark and mysterious, we Anigmians don't like scary themes. Here you will get a cozy start, lighter rooms, more background story and a variety of good puzzles.

Where one room ends, the next one begins...

As important as good puzzles are, to get really immersed, a story needs to be told. At Anigma this story will continue throughout our five rooms, forming The Maxim Saga.

What does Anigma mean?
It’s a portmanteau, meaning a combination of words.
We’ve mixed the latin word ‘animo’ (meaning mind, spirit) with ‘enigma’ (meaning mystery, puzzle) thus forming Anigma,
the essence of an escape room.

Anigma was born out of love for games, and the conviction that the adult world suffers from some serious lack of fun. Every opportunity to let go of the seriousness of grown-up life is precious.
